Call for Papers: 4th International Conference on Buddhism in the Australasian Region

The International Conference Buddhism & Australia 2015 will be held in Perth, Western Australia, from 26–28 February. The conference investigates the history of current and future directions for Buddhism in Australasia.
The main theme for Buddhism & Australia 2015 will be “Buddhist Symbols and Symbolism. The organizers are open to proposals from contributors on the history of Buddhism, philosophy, and texts, as well as any related theme.
All Buddhists, scholars, and members of the general public interested in Buddhism are invited to present their papers in the upcoming conference. Researchers across a broad range of disciplines are welcomed, and the submission of preformed panel proposals is encouraged.

What to Send
:
Proposals may be in Word or RTF format and should include the following information:
a) name of author(s)
b) affiliation, as
it should appear in the program
c) email address
d) title of proposal
e) body of proposal (
maximum 300 words)
f) up to 10 keywords
g) CV (max
imum 2 pages)
Plain text (Times New Roman font size 12) should be used, without footnotes, special formatting, characters, or emphasis (such as bolditalics or underline).
Proposals must be submitted by 25 November 2014, to the following address: info@buddhismandaustralia.com. If a proposal is accepted, a full draft paper should be sent by 20 January 2015. The organizers will acknowledge receipt of and respond to all proposals submitted.
