Sri Lanka's nationalist party to submit a set of proposals to the government
The layman party leader, Minister of Technology and Research Patali Champika Ranawaka said the proposals had been compiled after consultation with the professionals, academics, and diplomats among others.
The Minister said that Sri Lanka had failed to pass the benchmark of US$ 12,000 per capita income although the country had spent 40 years after opening the economy.
He pointed out that a new economic strategy should be followed to achieve the target of surpassing the middle income trap.
Minister Ranawaka said that the set of proposals comprising about 1,000 concepts from the intellectual community would be submitted to the government soon. [ Colombopage ]
